  1. I am another woman of a certain age who collected Breyer horses and have dreamed of having my own live one someday. 🙂 That may be happening soon. Glad I found your blog. Happy trails!

    • Thank you for stopping by, and by all means I do love my Breyers and they still hold a close place in my heart. I am so happy with having the real thing, and hope that somehow you manage to get a horse in your life, if even volunteering at a local barn. Hope to see you back soon!

  2. Your blog is lovely. I’m currently in Illinois for a few months but live south of Micanopy. I miss Florida so your blog post was perfect for my Friday. Thanks!

  3. Your blog is fascinating with its combination of history, hiking, and photography…not to forget the horsemanship. I’m glad I stopped by, and thanks for your comments on my blog.

  4. Thanks for you recent like on one of my posts about the colours of Florida! My daughter loves horses and has been riding for 5 years, she is 10! I’ll follow you from here! Thanks and I can’t wait to explore your blog further!

    • It is my pleasure, and I truly enjoyed your Florida post. What type of riding does your daughter do? It’s a great thing to get young girls involved in, as there are no room for boys ! LOL ! Look forward to sharing more with you.

  5. Thank you so much for the nomination!
I’ve been sidelined by dropping my laptop last week, and breaking the monitor screen. The “part” is on order as the saying goes. it kinda sounds like “the check’s in the mail”…he he Once I get the part installed I’ll be up an running full steam ahead!
I’ll get back to you about the questions…. 🙂 🙂

  6. Thanks so much for nominating me. I feel very honored, As you know things haven’t been too good for me the past two weeks, but your graciousness is helping me get back on the road to recovery. I’ve been blessed to receive a few other awards, which is why I began my Bean’s Pat, a jolly way to daily bring notice to great blogs. I will play the award back this way, but will try to think of new things to tell everyone about myself when I mention the award on my blog. Thanks again.

    • Good morning Renee,
What a pleasant surprise and incredible honor that you have considered me worthy of such a nomination. Thank you so very much, and I will continue to try to bring smiles to other people’s faces.

  7. Thank you for liking my recent post on pecorino from Tuscany. I have several friends who are accomplished horsewomen (LOVE Horses!) and I will definitely share your blog with them. Your posts and pictures are great.

    • My pleasure Rob. You’re blog is quite interesting and you put a lot of research into it. I’m hoping to make it to Galapagos within the next year or so, so will enjoy learning before I go. Thanks for stopping by.

  8. Hi there! Thanks for subscribing to my blog, Sunshine and Siestas. a few weeks back. As you may have noticed, I haven’t updated my blog in several weeks as I’ve done a hostile takeover to change to a self-hosted blog. So, I’ve tried in vain to get all of my subscribers back to getting updates without having to resort to facebooking, emailing and commenting on their blogs. If you’d like to re-add me and keep hearing about Sunshine and Siestas, visit http://sunshineandsiestas.com/ and sign up again! Thanks, and hope you’re having a fun summer!

  9. Ahoy there! I have just nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. If you want to accept and participate just click here and follow the steps! woodandrope.wordpress.com/2012/08/26/very-inspiring-blogger-award/

    • Hello Sharon, You are too very kind and I truly appreciate your kind comment. I really enjoyed browsing your blog and find it so insightful. Am returning the compliment and have subscribed to your blog as well. Best wishes! Bella

  10. Hi Emily

I have just nominated your blog for the Super Sweet Blogging Award. I would be honoured if you accepted the Nomination. You can find out all about it at
    http://soulsnet.com/community-matters/

I hope the link works. It took me two hours to work out how to do it!! What a frustrating morning. In the end all I had to do was trust and click. A lesson there I think.

    Have a lovely day
    Corinne

  11. I love your name, Bella Remy Photography! Do you know that Remy and Ramey are the same? Some of my long-ago ancestors were spelled Remy.

  12. Your life and lust for adventure in our beautiful world lures those of like minded heart.
This is a most exciting blog posting regular features of fasination.
Thank very much Bella for honoring me as you did. You are most kind.

  13. Hi! My name is Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a diet/fitness app and online website. I saw your blog a few days ago and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in getting 1 for free to review when it is out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker (com) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

For your info, our online website SlimKicker basically turns your diet/fitness goals into a fun level-up game. The tracker will work with the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    – Sue

  14. Thanks for stopping by my blog and following me! I’m looking forward to more of your photography as well! Keep up the great work. You’ve made me think again about renting a super telephoto! 🙂 If only I had a place nearby to shoot Bald Eagles in flight…

    • Hello Rick ! Wonderful to see you here. I swear I thought I had subscribed to you a long time ago, but there was a time there where wordpress dropped some of my follows and I’m guessing you were on that list. So happy to rediscover your work again, and look forward to sharing more with you in the future. Oh, the 500mm was awesome and now I want the new one. I’m sure you can find something fun to shoot that moves around a lot with that lens. 🙂

    • It’s great to meet you Denise! Had a quick look at your “About” also, and I’m amazed. You ride motorcycles? I am adventuruous, but you can’t pay me enough to get on a motobike. Horses? Any day. zip lines? Any day. 🙂
I also had a difficult childhood, but luckily alcohol wasn’t involved. But still hard never the less. Great to meet another kindred spirit.

      • Ha ha!! That’s so funny! Horses are beautiful and I’ve ridden a few times, but I’m definitely more comfortable on my Honda! I’m thinking of trying a zip line one day, we’ll see if I muster up the courage.
Looking forward to getting to know you more!

    • Hi Tom, Sorry I didn’t acknowledge this immediately. It got buried with all of my other comments. Thank you so very much for this kind award nomination and I truly do appreciate it. I’ll make sure I accept this officially this weekend. Hope all is well with you.

  19. WoW you’re quite a “hottie!” I’m so happy I discovered you. I have been disappointed this season at finding ducks on Assateague and at Saxis, Va which are close to my cottage located on the mainland across from Chincoteague. i took a carving class last weekend near St. Michael’s, Md with RIch Smoker who lives near Crisfield. I’ve done 3 decoys with him and several with Bill Veasey as well as on my own. Last year was exceptional I took a couple of thousand images of Assoteague ducks during the Arctic Vortex in late Jan & early Feb with my little old Nikon point & shoot…disappointed with finding almost no ducks this season now that i have invested a couple of grand in new equipment. Rich told me he also has noticed the lack of ducks in the region.

    • Lucky you living in such a wonderful area. Sometimes you may find a Snowy Owl in Assateague, but usually lots of traveling is needed to find him/her. I looked at your page, but you need to showcase your decoys too.

Head off to Blackwater NWR as there are tons of Snow Geese there now, and then up to Cambridge for some easy shooting of ducks. Good luck!

  20. I just stumbled across your blog and couldn’t help checking it out cause the name caught my eye. My pet sitting business’ name is PawPrints & HoofBeats …so couldn’t help but notice a possible fellow horse person 🙂 Great looking blog!

  21. Thrilled to have come across your blog. Totally loving the photography, the wildlife and outdoor aspect, all very inspiring. You have impressed yet another traveler and adventurer, all the way from Australia.
