While I haven’t been looking this week, Zorro and Esperanza have been busy building their high rise apartment.
Compared to their nest not too long ago after the wind storm, they have been really working hard. Within ten days, in between fishing and lovemaking they’ve managed to create quite the hacienda.
Earlier in the week, I saw them sitting side by side. It seems that the heated romance has cooled down a little. Now to get busy getting the home in order and fuel up for nest sitting.
Esperanza was the one who brought the fish this time. It’s great to see how good they are in sharing. I’m learning that the one that catches the fish gets to eat the best parts. The other has to be happy with what’s left. It’s usually the tail or the head.
This rebuild of their home looks far more substantial than the original nest. Still waiting with bated breath for when Esperanza begins sitting on the nest, indicating that eggs are laid.
