Hello!

Gettysburg05jul13-2949-Edit

Don’t worry, I’m still slinking around. The summer heat has kicked in discouraging me from any photo expeditions. Although new lion cubs at the National Zoo have been calling my name.

Instead, I’ve begun developing a portfolio of images for sale on Fine Art America. Having an amazing array of images on my hard drive need to find a home in the virtual world. I’m hoping that eventually some sales will trickle through.

It’s a little time consuming and once again I’m faced with my nightmare of a terrible filing system with my images. Too many different computers, too many Lightroom catalogues. Too many photos with a watermark. Why ever did I think I needed to do that? Now I understand why the pros don’t bother with a watermark. Much easier to work with the image than to try to track down the original again to reset without the watermark.

So please bear with me on these not photog days. There are a few outings planned later on in the week, so stay tuned! Bella

  1. The only thing about watermarks for me, Is that I’m finding my stuff stolen more often without it or someone would have the nerve to slap their own on a stolen photo :S

    • Actually it’s pretty darned easy Mark, and for $30 you can have a website which is plenty functional. The only thing is that you can only upload 5 images at a time, and the keywording for an image on any website is always a pain.

  2. Ugh, I feel your pain. .. I haven’t named any photos. My filing system is generally knowing when the flower blooms and then searching by date. Ouch. I keep saying this is a ‘winter’ project. .šŸ˜œ
