Barns in the Snow

Earth teach me to forget myself as melted snow forgets its life. Earth teach me resignation as the leaves which die in the fall. Earth teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone. Earth teach me regeneration as the seed which rises in the spring.

    • Thinking of the photos you’ve shown of your countryside. Not too many trees to build with. We’ve got trees, but not a ton of stones. The ones built in the 1700’s are made of stone in Pennsylvania, these 1800’s are wood.

  2. These feel like a time warp. I have to add my vote to the red barn photo, I like how it stands out with the green trees. But I also like the little tiny red shed at the base of the silos. The silos are so massive they look like some strange rocket and then you look a bit closer and wha-la there’s a happy little shed. Nice.

    • You’re right – the red barn is indeed the hit. I drive by it each time I go to the barn. I’ve captured it in every season now. I love it.
And the silos are super cool. Love them and could capture them every day. The little red shed is for sheep. 😉
