I know..I know..I owe you a photo from yesterday. But sometimes life just seems to get in the way, and business needs to be taken care of first before play. Today a winter storm was to blow through, promising snow and then icy rain. Of course hearing the four letter word SNOW causes this photographer to jump for joy. As photo opportunities are abound.
There’s been a barn I’ve been driving by all year, that I’ve yet to stop and capture. It’s tucked back in the middle of a large field in some rolling hills. Off in the distance, the snow flakes filled the air.
Arriving to the barn, the snow was fresh. Only with hoofbeats and footprints in the path.
Of course, the boys were acting silly and playing around Toby (brown) was in fine form, tormenting his friend Bandit (white). After a one-on-one, tete-a-tete with Bandit, Toby decided to gallop around the paddock relentlessly harassing all the other boys.
Toby was really laughing hard about the whole thing.
Even rolling in the snow seemed like a good idea. Typical boys – you wouldn’t see a girl get this dirty.
While I was trying to capture Toby running around the paddock and getting his friends riled up, I kept feeling this nose rub against my camera hand. Rub, Rub, Rub..it was coming from below. Oh it’s you my little Macaroni pony.
It was fun playing with the horses in the snow. It won’t last long, so I’ll have to wait until the next snow storm to play once more.
