Project 365/319 – A Scarlet Ibis for Ilex

“Do you mean to tell me,

Katie Scarlett O’Hara,

that Tara,

that land doesn’t mean anything to you?

Why, land is the only thing worth workin’ worth fightin’ for,

worth dying for,

because its the only thing that lasts.”

  1. WOW! What amazing color and incredible texture of the feathers. They eye as the focal point in the first picture is amazing, and really conveys some kind of human emotion behind it – but I can’t place what it is. Great pictures!

  2. Thank you for the red bird to match my red berries! 😀 I’ve never seen a red ibis, I wonder if they are red naturally or like flamingos, red because of their diet? Hmmm. Red is my favorite color. Everything is red… my flowers, car, clothes, hair… love it!
I never understand the technical jargon you describe sometimes, but I sure understand the emotion your photos bring out in people, like me! 🙂 Thank you again!

    • They are also naturally colored this way like the Flamingos. Some reason, the Ibis seemed more brilliant than the Flamingos. I had no idea that you are crazy about red. That is funny that I managed to get through the airwaves.
I truly appreciate you saying that my photos bring out emotion in you. I’ve had a couple of other people say that as well, and I’m still having a hard time believing it.
Thanks and have a lovely Sunday.

Bella Remy Photography (Emily) is one of my favorite photographers I follow. Her mastery of capturing birds in her lens fascinates me more with each post! I would encourage anyone interested in unique and detailed nature photography to check out her blog, she never disappoints! Thank You Emily, for my red bird 😀
