A field trip was due to re-ignite the creative juices. Hearing that there is a Jelly fish invasion at the National Aquarium in Baltimore I headed up there for a morning visit.
They have a really interesting question “How does a creature survive without a brain?” Jelly fish are actually plankton and don’t have bones, a brain, or a heart. Predatory creatures of the sea that have survived for millions of years, these gooey sea animals dine on zooplanton (microscoptic floating animals.)
They are super cool creatures, but from growing up near Florida beaches, I know that you don’t want to be touched by a tentacle. It burns!!
Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.
