I’ve got a song, I ain’t got no melody
I’m a gonna sing it to my friends
I’ve got a song, I ain’t got no melody
I’ ma gonna sing it to my friends

Will it go round in circles
Will it fly high like a bird up in the sky
Will it go round in circles
Will it fly high like a bird up in the sky

St. Augustine Lighthouse, the site of the oldest navigational aiding station in North America. The Lighthouse was completed in 1874 and contains 219 circular steps to arrive to the top. With stunning 360 views of the coastline and the town of St. Augustine, the lighthouse is truly a beacon seen near and far.

  1. I love the photos, because I love lighthouses! But, I’m not sure how they can classify this as the oldest in North America. The oldest surviving lighthouse is the Sambro Island light in Nova Scotia, and we have several lights older than this one here in Michigan. Maybe “oldest navigational aiding station in North America” is different than oldest lighthouse? Not trying to be picky, just wondering, as I know one of the lights I photographed this spring was completed in 1867 as a replacement for the original, built in the 1840’s.

  2. That first image, I dream of getting an image like that, but it never happens for me, can you tell how jealous I am. I forgot to reply and say I got your message too and that would be fine.
